George Bernard Shaw rightly said "There is no sincere love than the love of food".
I developed my passion for cooking at age 13, influenced by my mother who was a brilliant and an amazing cook. She was my idol, mentor and inspiration. Mum cooked what she knew best and that was Goan food. She was creative and paid great attention to detail. I watched and learned a great deal from her. Along the way, she shared her tips and techniques. This site is dedicated to my late mother and I cherish the beautiful memories spent with her in the kitchen.
Growing up in Mumbai, India, in an apartment populated by people from Goa, I was exposed to Goan food every day. Besides my mum, I was blessed with wonderful neighbors who were willing to share their knowledge of Goan cuisine to a hungry teen with an appetite to learn and grow.
After high school, I graduated in Home Science from Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai, India, where I enjoyed learning more about food, cooking and baking. Food brings joy to my heart and cooking takes me to another level of happiness. The kitchen is the place in my house where I am most relaxed.
Two decades back, I migrated to Canada with my family and I was excited to be exposed to a whole new world of food. I was inspired by watching the various celebrity chefs on the food network. Every day is a learning process for me. I have a tremendous appetite to learn, grow and challenge myself in the kitchen.
Besides other foods, I hope to expose you to traditional Goan cuisine which was influenced by the Portuguese. It's a perfect blend of spice, sweet and sour. Once you master the art of achieving the right balance of the above blend, you will enjoy Goan food. Hope my site will be your one stop to ultimate authentic Goan recipes and more.
My main aim is to inspire you to create beautiful memories through food. Food that will wow your family and friends where you will be a star in your own kitchen.
May every meal you cook for your family be seasoned with love, a party in your mouth and a memory that you will cherish for a very long time.
Love food & keep cooking!!!
