Cauliflower (Phul Ghobi or Phool Ghobi)
(Serves 6)
Ingredients:
1/2 kg cauliflower
1 onion (chopped)
1 tomato (chopped)
2 green chillies (slit)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 tablespoon water
2 tablespoons oil
salt
Method:
Cut cauliflower into florets and wash using a colander. Drain and add in a pan along with rest of the ingredients. Cook on medium heat till cauliflower is tender with a slight crunch.
Alternatively, you could first fry the cumin seeds, onion with green chillies. When onion is translucent, add tomato and turmeric powder. Let tomato soften and then add cauliflower with rest of the ingredients. Cook on medium heat until cauliflower is tender, but with a bite.
