Heat little oil in a skillet, place the sausage heart, then pour the egg into the heart. Cover the skillet with a lid. After few seconds, the egg will set and you will have a perfectly cooked half fried egg inside a heart. Try this unique idea to wow your loved ones.
Sausage Egg Hearts
(Serves 3)
Ingredients:
6 Sausages
6 Eggs
pepper powder
oil
ketchup
salt
Heat oven to 400 F or 200 C. Lightly oil a baking dish and place in the oven to heat.
Cut sausages into half leaving one end intact. Turn and shape into a heart. Secure open end with a toothpick. In case the intact end of the sausage gives way, secure it with a toothpick too.
Remove the hot baking dish from the oven. Place all the sausage hearts in a baking dish. Break eggs one at a time in a measuring cup. Pour an egg in each sausage heart. Place baking dish back in the oven and bake till eggs are set. Remove toothpicks and serve hearts with a sprinkle of salt, pepper powder and ketchup.
