A healthy drink to start your day right with a blend of oats, milk, bananas and dates with no added sugar or honey. The sweetness in the smoothie is achieved from the bananas and dates. Milk used is low fat and the smoothie can be prepared in 5 minutes. The oats are initially softened in warm milk and then blended with rest of the ingredients with some ice cubes. Choice of nuts can be included for additional nutrients or chopped and sprinkled on top.

Oatmeal Smoothie With Dates & Bananas
(Serves 2)
Ingredients:
2 cups 1% low fat milk
1/2 cup Quaker Quick Oats
10 dates (pitted)
2 ripe bananas
ice cubes (as required)
Method:
Warm 1 cup milk in the microwave for 2 minutes and add oats to soften. Stir and keep aside for few minutes.
In a blender add the remaining 1 cup milk, dates, banana, oats and ice cubes. Blend and serve sprinkled with nuts, if desired. Alternatively, you could blend the nuts.
